Martin Mulder and Alike Thijsen are lecturers and researchers in the Department of Education, University of Twente, po Box 217,7500 ae Enschede, The Netherlands. Mulder has worked in primary education and teacher training and has interests in curriculum theory, curriculum technology, research and human resource development.
