Max Van Manen

Max van Manen is a professor of curriculum and qualitative research methodology in the Department of Secondary Education, Faculty of Education, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, T6G 2G5. He is the author of The Tone of Teaching, Researching Lived Experience: Human Science for an Action Sensitive Pedagogy, and The Tact of Teaching: The Meaning of Pedagogical Thoughtfulness. He is also the founding editor of the human science journal, Phenomenology and Pedagogy.
