The Bayesian Approach to Research in Economic Education

Pages 9-24 | Published online: 14 Jul 2014

Abstract

The author suggests that for most researchers whose training has been exclusively in classical statistics, the use of the Bayesian approach will require considerable retooling. He observes that the “technical details of the Bayesian approach are formidable …” and will require studying textbooks, applications (one of which is included as an appendix), evaluating computer packages, and consulting colleagues.
