Student Evaluations of Teaching—A Multinominal Logit Approach

Abstract

The author compares maximum likelihood estimates of multinomial logit coefficients with coefficients of the same variables of student evaluations of teaching estimated in an ordinary least-squares regression. His results suggest that the logit model is preferable.
