Abstract

The paper shows how, with the aid of the GLIM computer program, one can easily explore any number of elaborations of the conventional gravity model in an effort to improve goodness of fit and to identify factors influencing spatial interaction. Using a doubly-constrained model as an example, various origin-destination specific effects, in addition to distance, are evaluated with some success.
