Abstract
A new species of a small apseudomorph tanaidacean, of the genus Apseudes, is described from the muddy‐sand benthos at 9 m depth in Telegraph Bay, south‐eastern Hong Kong. It differs from the only previously‐described species from Hong Kong waters, and from similar species from Vietnam, in having no lateral emarginations or apophyses on the pereonites, in having eyes and in the distinctive setation of the mandibular palp.
