An error has been noted in “A new species of Halolaelapidae (Acari: Mesostigmata: Rhodacaroidea) from beach wrack in Yaquina Bay, Oregon, USA…..” The species of Parasitus that shares the beach wrack habitat with Halolaelaps hatfieldi Krantz is not Parasitus kempersi Oudemans as stated in the first paragraph of the Discussion section, but rather an undescribed species of Parasitus near kempersi.
