Summary
Two new genera are described, Archimeromyza and Pseudochromatopterum, and twenty nine new species. Camarota cylindrica, Archimeromyza humeralis,Anthracophagella politzari, Pseudochromatopterum rileyi, Chromatopterum dimidiatum, C. ghanaensis, C. mirabilis, Chloropsina acuticornis, C. affulgens, C. angolensis, C. crassipalpus, C. gugae, C. ilaroensis, C. litoralis, C. mambillaensis, C. medleri, C. ochrifrons, C. punctifacialis, C. ruandana, C. stubbsi, C. sulcicornis, C. sylvatica, C. vesicata, Lagaroceras annulatum, L. australis, L. cogani, L. distinctum and L. nigroscutellatum. Chlorops nitens (Lamb) is transferred to Chloropsina, and Parectecephala princeps Becker to Lagaroceras. The systematic positions of Chromatopterum, Phyladelphus and Siphlus are discussed. Full or partial descriptions of puparia are given for Camarota cylindrica, C. angustifrons Bezzi, Anthracophagella albovariegata (Thomson), Chloropsina litoralis, Parectecephala gigas Sabrosky, Lagaroceras annulatum, L. pulchellum Lamb and L. tenuicornis Malloch. The diagnosis of some described species is clarified, and further distributional and biological data is given.
