Performance of PRE-Control Sampling Plans

Abstract

A production screening plan is described. The plan is similar to a PRE-control or Stoplight Control plan. By using a Markov chain to describe successive measurements, one can determine the important characteristics of the plan such as the total sample size and the acceptance probability. Two examples are provided, and the Appendix gives the matrices needed for a variety of plans.
