Goodenough-Harris Drawing Test Scores from Two Eastern Peruvian Samples

Pages 159-166 | Received 06 Oct 1980, Published online: 30 Jun 2010

Summary

Children's drawings from two Peruvian samples were scored by the Goodenough-Harris Drawing Test. A modified IQ estimate was devised to eliminate the influence of clothing style on intelligence quotients. Variations in clothing style, however, did not account entirely for observed group differences. Differential exposure to formal academic education seemed to provide a more appropriate explanation for the differences in mean performances.
