Molecular interaction between induced smectics components was studied, i.e. between p, p'-cyano-n-pentylbiphenyl (PCB) on the one hand and p-, p'-dialkylazoxybenzenes (CnAX), where alkyl was CH3, n-C4H9, n-C5H11 and n-C6H13, on the other. With the Few-Smith's dielectric method12,13 the stability constant and dipole moment of the formed 1:1 complex were determined and discussed as regards the spatial structure.
