Abstract
K 1, K 2, K 3 and [mgrave]1 have been measured for the first time in a typical main-chain polymer belonging to a polyester series. K 1 is very large compared to conventional nematics, while K 2 and K 3 have more conventional values. K 1 have been measured by two methods, one of them consisting in the measurement of the characteristic rise time of regular striped domains.
