Effective volumes of hard homonuclear nonlinear triatomic molecules

Abstract

Expressions to determine effective molecular volumes for nonlinear hard homonuclear triatomic molecules are derived. They are used, in combination with an equation of state previously proposed for hard-body molecular fluids, to reproduce accurately the existing simulation data for this kind of fluid, covering a wide fange of bond angles.
