ABSTRACT
In this work, the dynamics of electronic motion in molecule-ion under an ultrafast, strong, oscillating magnetic field have been studied and compared with those from our earlier work on the H atom. Compared to the H atom, the presence of an additional electron-nuclear attraction and a nuclear-nuclear repulsion term in the
molecular Hamiltonian make the two sets of dynamics somewhat different. In particular, the effective potential is not the same; there is now no slow dynamics; and, the photoemission spectrum shows both odd and even harmonics of the incident magnetic-field frequency. However, like the H atom, the possibility of coherent ultrafast photoemission remains.
