Etude R.P.E. du radical (C6H5)3P-BH2 piège dans un monocristal de triphénylphosphineborane irradié

Abstract

Une faible irradiation aux rayons X d'une monocristal de triphénylphosphineborane permet de pièger (C6H5)3P-BH2 et d'étudier ce radical à température ordinaire. L'analyse des tenseurs de couplage hyperfin avec 1H, 11B et 31P indique une rotation du groupe BH2 autour de l'axe P-B. Ces tenseurs sont en accord avec une structure plane du radical. Dans la discussion, on compare ces résultats avec ceux obtenus pour -BH3, ĊH3 et (C6H5)3P-ĊH2.

The X-irradiation of triphenylphosphineborane single crystals yields the (C6H5)3P-BH2 radical. The 1H, 11B and 31P hyperfine coupling tensors are obtained at room temperature and these show a rapid rotation of the BH2 group about the P-B axis. These tensors are consistent with a planar structure of the radical. In the discussion the E.S.R. parameters are compared with those of -BH3, ĊH3 and (C6H5)3P-ĊH2.
