Abstract
In this paper a method is developed for the direct calculations of the correlations of the rotator functions, from a rotational diffusion equation, in the presence of a static potential. The results have been applied to neutron scattering from molecular crystals in which a dynamical orientational disorder exists. In this case, the incoherent intermediate scattering law can be expanded in a set of symmetry-adapted functions. The present method enables us to evaluate each term separately.
