Quantum corrections to the second virial coefficient for hard discs

Abstract

Asymptotic expressions, valid at high temperatures, are obtained for the direct and exchange parts of the second virial coefficient for quantum hard discs. The results are qualitatively similar to those for hard spheres and, in particular, there is a similar exponential suppression of the exchange term with increasing temperature.
