Abstract
Neutron diffraction measurements have been performed at three temperatures covering the liquid range of SO2. Refined molecular structure parameters have been derived, and new results concerning the intermolecular single particle pair correlation functions are presented. The short-range liquid structure demonstrates the presence of strong oriental correlations which are difficult to explain in terms of simple pair potentials.
