ABSTRACT
A detailed treatment of the Pycnothyriales collected as part of Projeto Flora Amazonica is presented. In addition, a few other Coelomycetes and Hyphomycetes are listed. Hansfordiopeltopsis is introduced as a new genus, and H. amazonensis, Asterostomella dilleniicola, Elachopeltella rubescens, Elachopeltis intermedia, Hymeniopeltis major, Manginella oblongispora, Merismella amazonensis, Mycousteria ellipsoideispora, Plectopycnis apocynacearum, Plenotrichaius densus, and P. laxus are described as new species. Usteria morulinae is renamed Mycousteria morulinae. Eriothyrium miconiae is transferred to Elachopeltis. Some of these fungi are believed to be anamorphs of ascomycetous black mildew and fly speck fungi.
