Pages 325-333 | Accepted 29 Aug 1985, Published online: 12 Sep 2018

ABSTRACT

Eight Suillus species that occur in Minnesota are treated. Lectotypes or neotypes are designated for the names Boletinus ampliporus (=Suillus cavipes), S. americanus, S. grevillei, S. luteus, S. pictus, and S. subluteus. The names S. cavipes and S. placidus remain without designated types until appropriate topotypic material can be obtained and examined. The name Boletus pictus Peck non Schultz is replaced by S. spraguei (Berk. & Curt, in Berk.) Kuntze. Boletus tomentosus Kauffm. non Raddi is replaced by S. tomentosus Singer, Snell & Dick.
