Pages 518-526 | Accepted 19 Dec 1997, Published online: 28 Aug 2018

Abstract

New species of rust fungi (Uredinales) are described from Ecuador and Venezuela: Prospodium manabii on Bignoniaceae, Puccinia garcilassae on Garcilassa rivularis, Pu. machalillae on Wedelia cf. grandiflora, Uromyces valerianae-microphyllae on Valeriana microphylla, Uredo verruculosa on Pteridium aquilinum, U. ribesii-andicolae on Ribes cf. andicola, and Aecidium begoniae on Begonia sp. Uromyces valerianae-microphyllae appears to be the perfect state of Uredo quitensis. Uredo verruculosa probably belongs to a Uredinopsis sp.
