Abstract
Three new species of Hyphodontia with poroid hymenial surface are reported. All specimens of the three new species (Hyphodontia hallenbergii, H. poroideoefibulata, and H. taiwaniana) were collected from subtropical or tropical Taiwan. Hyphodontia poroideoefibulata has simple-septate hyphae, rarely found in this genus. In addition, the hyphae of this species possess dolipores containing continuous parenthesomes. This ultrastructural evidence indicates placement of this species in Hyphodontia. Cultural studies are provided for H. hallenbergii and H. poroideoefibulata. A key is given to known species of the Taiwanese Hyphodontia with poroid hymenial surface.
