Bovine salivary mucoprotein: An improved method of Isolation

Abstract

Physical studies on the mucoprotein of bovine saliva have shown that the material prepared by an earlier technique was considerably degraded. A method has been developed for stabilising the mucoprotein in unfractionated saliva, where its molecular weight is 1.1 × 107 This mucoprotein has now been isolated in an only slightly degraded form.
