The concentration of radioselenium by the tissues of selenium-responsive sheep in relation to their growth rates

Pages 292-294 | Accepted 13 Jul 1964, Published online: 05 Jan 2012

Abstract

Two groups, one of which had grown more rapidly than the other. were selected from a flock of selenium-responsive sheep. The more rapidly growing animals accumulated much more radioselenium in kidney and pituitary, but not in muscle, pancreas, abomasum, or liver, than did the more slowly growing animals.
