Abstract
Two phenylpropanoid derivatives have been isolated from methanolic extracts of foliage from Hebe stricta var. atkinsonii (Ckn.) L. B. Moore (koromiko). These compounds correspond to the known metabolites forsythiaside, 3,4-dihydroxy-β-phenethyl-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(l→6)-4-O-caffeoyl-β-D-glucopyranoside, and the uncommon 3-methyl-3-(6-O-caffeoyl-β-D-glucopyranosyloxy)-pentan-5-olide.
