Handledningens tre ansikten: Tre handledningsmodeller ur relations-synvinkel

Pages 173-185 | Published online: 24 Jan 2013

Abstract

Dahl, M.: The three models of the supervisory method and their view of the supervisory relationship. Nordisk Psykologi, 1987, 39 (3), 173–185.

The article briefly presents and discusses three supervision models and their view of the supervisory relationship; the didactic, the psychodynamic and the Truax/Carkhuff's models. A discussion of the factors which contribute to the quality of this relationship as well as about the importance of the student's perception of the relationship is presented. It is concluded that in developing a constructive supervision, the presented theories must be treated with flexibility. The supervisor must be capable of self-criticism and must also be sensitive to the individual student's need and level of knowledge. A crucial point in the supervisory process is the therapist's perception of the supervisor.
