Abstract
Elklit, A. (1991). Rotter Incomplete Sentences Blank in a comparative study of victims of violent assault. Nordisk Psykologi, 43, 107–121.
The Rotter ISB is a projective test that can be applied in clinical settings and for research purposes. Based on “post-Goldberg” articles physiological, psychological and sociological research is reviewed to study the validity of ISB. It was found that validity was high in all three areas. Besides the conventional adjustment score, ISB is productive for studying psychological variables as anxiety, hostility and dependency ad modum Renner. The need for recognition and social desirability does not seem to destroy the value of ISB. A future article will report on the results from the victims of violent assaults.
