The above paper contains the following incorrect statement in Sec. II.A:
“Now, define a matrix T such that Tij is the probability that a neutron born in phase-space cell j will be absorbed in cell i.”
The corrected statement is
“Now, define a matrix T such that Tij is the probability that a neutron born as the result of a neutron absorption in phase-space cell j will itself be absorbed in cell i.”
The error was solely in the statement of the definition of T. The analysis in the paper used the correct definition. Hence, the results and conclusions are unaffected.
