Abstract

Brachyxystus subsignatus Faust from northern India is redescribed and B. s. gulmargikus, subsp. nov. is described frorn Kashmir. Brachyxystus, genus incertae sedis and omitted from Coleopterorum Catalogus, is assigned provisionally to the Otiorhynchinae-Polydrosini.
