Abstract
A new subspecies of Talicada nyseus (Guérin), Talicada nyseus delhiensis subsp. nov., is described from Delhi, India. Data on the distribution and biology of the species collated from rearing records presented. Label data and the taxonomic history discussed in support of description of this new subspecies. Wing venation and characters of the male genitalia are considered in relation to the species' distribution. The valvae of the male genitalia indicate that specimens from Delhi are distinct from those of other localities.
