Two new mymarid wasps of the genus Gonatocerus Nees with new records from India

Abstract

Two new mymarid wasps of the genus Gonatocerus Nees belonging to litoralis-group viz., G. solanus sp. nov., and G. lakhimpuriensis sp.nov., are described from the Indian states of Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Gonatocerus litoralis Haliday is documented as new record from India, and distributional records of five other Indian species viz., G. munnarus Mani and Saraswat, G. narayani (Subba Rao and Kaur), G. ramamurthyi Zeya and Anwar, G. tamilanus Mani and Saraswat and G. venustus Zeya) are also provided.
