Abstract
One new genus and three new species of the tribe Tegonotini (Eriophyidae: Phyllocoptinae) from China are described and illustrated: Neoabsentophyes irregularis gen. nov. and sp. nov. infesting Lyonia sp. (Ericaceae), Neoabsentophyes lyoniae sp. nov. infesting Lyonia sp. (Ericaceae) and Gongella betula sp. nov. infesting Betula utilis Don. (Betulaceae). All species described here are vagrants on the undersurface of host leaves. A key to the genera of Tegonotini from China is provided.
