Topical Estrogens for Chronic Acne Vulgaris

Pages 503-507 | Published online: 06 Jul 2016

Abstract

Acne vulgaris, its etiology and incidence, are briefly discussed. A regimen employing topically applied natural estrogens for resistant, severe types of cystic and pustular acne is described. Results obtained from this regimen proved excellent in 70 per cent of such cases, with a minimum incidence of unwanted side effects.
