Mucocutaneous herpetic infections during cancer chemotherapy

Patients undergoing cancer chemotherapy, especially for leukemia and lymphoma, are quite prone to mucocutaneous herpetic infections, particularly herpes simplex. Dr Dreizen and his colleagues offer an outstanding graphic presentation of their experience with such infections in 425 cancer patients at the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Hospital.
