Tics are a common childhood disorder that may vary widely in severity. A child suffering from a severe tic or tics is often subject to social embarrassment and rejection by peers. Drs Leung and Fagan review their approach to these disorders while discussing clinical features, diagnoais, treatment, and prognosis of three tic syndromes.
