Programmed Learning Revisited: a Case Study

Abstract

The genesis and history of usage of the programmed text Learning and teaching is reviewed. Information about methods of usage adopted by tutors is provided. Problems of implementation of concepts from programming as it relates to mastery learning and the relation of both to conventional methods of teaching and assessment and to dissemination are discussed.
