Adam Muller on the dialogic nature of rhetoric

Müller's treatise represents a marked turning point in continental theories of discourse and contains many important notions popular in contemporary rhetorical doctrine. In his sociological rhetoric, Müller stressed the dialogical, dynamic, and organic nature of the communication process and elaborated on notions similar to current concepts of identification and the rhetorical situation.
