The industrial workers of the world and the rhetoric of song

The Industrial Workers of the World members sang extensively in their union meetings and demonstrations from 1906 to 1917. This investigation of the lyrics and uses of the songs examines their rhetorical importance and suggests that they contributed significantly to the formation of the IWW's image.
