Abstract
Room-temperature radiation-induced changes of the optical and dielectric characteristics of NaCl:Eu2+-crystals were investigated as a function of the concentration and dispersion state of the dopant.
For nonirradiated crystals four types of Eu+2-spectra have been identified and ascribed to I.V. dipoles and various types of europium-related phases stable in the well-aged crystals.
