Abstract
The IF titres of IgG antibodies to hyphal antigen preparations of 6 isolates of Aspergillus fumigatus were compared with the titres to germling antigen preparations of the same isolates. Titres varied according the antigen used and the method of preparation. No single isolate or method of antigen preparation enabled a group of 15 patients with aspergillosis to be separated from a group of asthmatic subjects or a group of patients with other fungal infections, but significantly higher mean IF titres were obtained for the group of patients with aspergillosis.
Resumen
Se compararon los títulos de anticuerpos IgG detectados con preparaciones antigénicas corrientes obtenidas de 6 cepas de Aspergillus fumigatus, con los obtenidos utilizando antígenos derivados de conidias en germinación precedentes de las mismas cepas. Los títulos variaron de acuerdo al antigeno usado y al método de preparación. Ninguna cepa individual como tampoco ningún método de preparación del antígeno, fueron capaces de separar el grupo de 15 pacientes con aspergilosis de otros dos grupos compuestos uno por persons asmáticas y otro por pacientes con infecciones micóticas diferentes. Sinembargo, se demostraron títulos promedios de IF más altos y estadísticamente significantes, en el grupo de pacientes con aspergilosis.
