Records of 36 choanoflagellate taxa have been compiled from the literature and supplemented by recent observations by the author. They are presented in systematic order together with drawings of each taxon. One new genus, Campanoeca, two new species, Campanoeca dilatata sp.nov., and Monosiga micropelagica sp.nov., and one new variety, Diaphanoeca grandis var. minor, are described. Three taxa are transferred to the genus Stephanoeca W. N. Ellis: S. complexa (Norris) comb.nov., S. elegans (Norris) comb.nov., S. deminutiva (Norris) comb.nov., and one taxon to Campanoeca: C. pedicellata (Leadbeater) comb.nov.
