Remembering Peter Mandel Hall

&

As we announced in the previous issue of TSQ, our friend and coeditor Peter Mandel Hall died in December 2017. In recognition of his long scholarly career as well as his many years of close association with the Sociological Quarterly (TSQ) and the Midwest Sociological Society, we thought it fitting that this issue of TSQ include a section of remembrances about Peter and his work. Three sociologists who knew Peter during various phases of his career—Hugh Mehan, Mary Jo Neitz, and Patrick McGinty—graciously agreed on very short notice to contribute essays about Peter’s work and scholarly influence. We offer these remembrances in the chronological order of the author’s acquaintance with Peter.
