1 In this discussion, “photographs” refer to photos taken with a digital camera that document children’s engagements and are printed so they become a moveable and tangible material as well as a trace of an experience. “Images” refer more generally to a range of visual images, such as printed photographs, hard-copy art reproductions, children’s drawings, and other digital imagery and reproductions.
