Catherine L. Benamou is professor of Film and Media Studies at the University of California-Irvine, where she participates in the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies. She has published numerous essays on the oeuvre of Orson Welles as well as on Latin American and Latinx media, and is the author of Transnational Television and Latinx Diasporic Audiences: Abrazos Electrónicos in Four Global Cities (Palgrave Macmillan, 2022).
