Abstract
Synthetic strategy based on a stereoselective iodoetherification reaction of a carvone‐derived hydroxyalkene unit has been developed for the asymmetric synthesis of the key spiro‐tetrahydrofuran subunit common to some naturally occurring terpenoids.
