Abstract
The iodination of alcohols with KI in the presence of a catalytic amount of triethylamoniom hydrogensulfate () as a novel and inexpensive ionic liquid under microwave irradiation has been investigated.
Notes
a Yields refer to pure isolated products and were characterized by comparison of their physical and spectral data (IR, 1H NMR) with authentic samples.
b Power was 100 W.
a The progress of the reaction was determined by GC and TLC analysis.
