Abstract
A stereoselective entry into spiro[4.5]decanes and spiro[5.5]undecanes via oxidative cleavage of tricyclo[5.2.2.01,5]undecanes and tricyclo[6.2.2.01,6]dodecanes, which are readily available from simple aromatic precursors, is described.
