In Volume 38, Number 17 (2008) of Synthetic Communications, several errors were published in “Novel Synthesis of Fosphenytoin: Anti-Convulsant Prodrug” by Chandrashekar R. Elati et al., pages 2950–2957. The corrections are listed below. All errors appear on p. 2950.

  • Author S. Ashok should be corrected to D. Ashok.

  • Author Rakeshwarar Bandichhor should be corrected to Rakeshwar Bandichhor.

  • In the second paragraph, beginning with line 6, the following sentence should replace the one published: “Fosphenytoin, a prodrug that provides phenytoin in vivo and blocks movements of ions though the sodium channels during propagation of the action potential, therefore blocks or limits the development of maximal convulsions.”
