Abstract
Benzylic C-H oxidation of a wide variety of alkyl- and cycloalkyl arenes employing 2,6-dicarboxypyridinium fluorochromate under mild reaction conditions is described. The corresponding carbonyl compounds are obtained in good to excellent yields.
