One-Step Synthesis of Unsymmetrical Sulfides Bearing Hexafluorocumyl Moiety

Abstract

A facile and convenient one-pot synthesis of novel unsymmetrical sulfides, 2′-alkylthio- and 2′-arylthio-1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoro-2-phenylpropan-2-oles 1a–k, is presented. Physicochemical characterization; IR infrared; ¹H, ¹³C, and ¹⁹F NMR; and mass spectral analyses of the obtained compounds are discussed as well.
